Nature Rocks Flock... Family Adventure Club

The Nature Rocks Family Adventure Club is a new, free, informal monthly family nature club for families in the Atlanta area. Inspired by the book Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv, the NatureRocks Club aims to get families outside together and to help them discover nature in the South Atlanta Metro area.

Our vision is that having year-round, regularly-scheduled nature outings will help families spend more time connecting with the outdoors. Events showcase a different local park or nature center each month. As we grow, we hope to provide special speakers and to connect families with local volunteer efforts.

The "Flock" is open to anyone with a sense of adventure, and families are never obligated to participate in more than they wish. The only requirements are that children must always be accompanied by adults in their family, and that the adults are responsible for their own children. Make memories together! Hikes are not guided -- we will provide guide books, or you may bring your own. Hikes are usually less than a mile, and are jog stroller friendly and meant for the entire family - babies, toddlers, preteens, and grandmothers! Events are always free.
